Packing the Bags

Posted by WhiteCoat on January 9, 2009

goodbyeIt’s been a wild ride, but the airplane has come to a complete stop and the ride has come to an end.

This is my last post on WhiteCoat Rants.

Even though this blog will go dormant, I’m going to hang around.

I hooked up with EP Monthly Magazine and effective today, I’m going to be blogging at their site. So stop by and check out my new digs.

I’ll pick up at WhiteCoat’s Call Room (http://www.epmonthly.com/whitecoat) where I left off here. I’ve already got about a dozen posts waiting to go.

Hope to see you there. Picture credit here

Wow, you just gave me a shock. Now I need to go to the ER :) As a recent reader of your blog, I’m glad you will be around. As a consumer of healthcare, I’ve learned a lot about it from reading your blog and will continue to do so. Thanks.

How about that! I just found you, and you’re leaving already! :) Congratulations on the new opportunity with EP Monthly! Looking forward to checking out your new digs.

Don’t scare me like that – especially before I’ve had my first cup of coffee! Here’s wishing you all the best on your new venture! See you at the new site.

Sorry, I’ve seen a few blogs go to the land of the boring after they ended up on sites like this. What makes a medical blog “fun” are the different specialties represented and the fact that you can sorta choose your own audience based on where you comment, etc…

You know me better than that by now.

I seriously started screaming on the phone to my husband when I read the first part of your blog! We are your biggest fans and I pretty much crapped my pants thinking you were seriously leaving. And then I continued reading, and the heart rate went back to normal :)

Thanks for NOT leaving us for real. I don’t think I could handle it. Your rants keep me sane when I come home from the hospital. Seriously.

How can you leave us like this? How do you sleep at night?

Oh, okay, but this EP Monthly says it is monthly. Does that mean you will only write a monthly rant?

Oh, and here’s hoping that the “ED if you’re WhiteCoat” trope might die a quiet, painless death en route…

why did they pick ep as a name? it makes me think of electrophysiology?
what’s the matter with good old fashioned er? i can understand why some might not be happy with ed. but ep? already taken.

The name is actually short for “Emergency Physician’s Monthly” magazine.
Us emergency docs are out of luck.
“ED” makes people think of a talking horse or of Viagra
“EP” makes people think of cardiology
ER … don’t get me started on that one.

To control the pain we must attend to the specialist because we can give him what is appropriate and what we need, for example I take Oxycontin, which is a medicine used to counter the chronic pain that I have for years, but I rioja prescribing doctor, I take it in moderation because I read in findrxonline which is a medicine that causes anxiety, and we must control it as it can affect your nervous system, so do not take medicines without consultation because it really can be dangerous.

4 years makes me suffer from severe back pain in the lower part, and so far not found anything, why turn to drugs such as Tramadol, Oxycodone and who are the only calming the terrible pain I feel, a few weeks ago asking for I found this Web browser findyourdrug gave me good information and alternatives, I do not think I made a mistake and asked to prove their safety and so far I seriously hope this is for you. a good indicator.

This is the case, we are what we eat, but there is a healthy diet based on fruits and vegetables because it is more advisable, I recommended this dietas-efectivas…com and I welcome their diets are fruit and exercises and really low weight, and took a week and I dropped 2 kgs, I think in a month down 7 kgs. I have of being overweight, and I do not have to be obnoxious with diets where only my anxiety by eating, you think ..?

  32. Anggelo said

Really(Exactly), to increased the number of cases, and we must see that type of incident will improve the way of helping the people, for it in findrxonline will find the solutions and other ways of offsetting it.

  33. Paincrazy said

Hopefully that will improve health for all on this, the government must give force to the health sector, as there are many people who suffer from chronic illnesses and who need help to cover expenses stronger as fibromyalgia, cancer, producing a series very heavy cost to those who suffer as they must take powerful drugs such as Vicodin, tramadol, vicoprofen drugs that are highly controlled and that findrxonline indicate that opioids are very strong and anxiolytics do not know if that can be given life-threatening that consumes, that is why many times the costs are too high to be able to obtain and soothe the intense pain.

  34. Pain norco said

At present there are millions of people worldwide suffering from cancer, but now this disease has a better alternative to fight still continues to harm many people in the world, I am in the fourth cycle of medicine and I find out much about the consequences and outcomes of this disease and indicate the following findrxonline and actually say some things like this:
“Cancer is a disease that causes fear and distress to listen, but if you have cancer can be cured is much higher than what most people think, especially if detected early. Cancer is one of the most deadly diseases in the world today and tragically unfolded. The snuff has many carcinogens have been detected in smoke snuff, consumption also increases the frequency of cardiovascular diseases. There are several forms of cancer that can affect our body such as breast cancer, liver cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal, ovarian cancer, kidney cancer, etc.., In any form cancer is curable, but we must make our medical checkups for early detection. ”
There are several medicines that counter the disease as Lortab, Lorcet, Oxycontin, Percocet, opioids to help allay the pain of this disease and its side effects but can be dangerous if not administered know are the most used in the world.
So we hope that people take account of what is listed here because it is important to know that harms our bodies and this disease can take anyone, it is best to avoid taking care in a timely manner and avoid the snuff, the drinks, etc, etc.
